From Ghimes to Chicago - Travel diary of the Hungarian National Dance Ensemble
The Artistic Director of the Hungarian National Dance Ensemble, Zoltán Zsuráfszky, and photographer Levente Váradi joined their forces in pursuit of an extraordinary venture. For an entire year, Levente Váradi, so to say, shadowed the dance ensemble day and night, participated in the members’ daily lives and in its tours both in Hungary and abroad, and documented the huge amount of often tiresome yet uplifting work performed by the artists of the Hungarian National Dance Ensemble.

The productions are characterized by their unusual dynamics, the virtuosity of the dances as well as the spectacles on the stage.
The Hungarian National Dance Ensemble is existing in the framework of Honvéd Ensemble, with the leading of Zoltán Zsuráfszky coreographer, artistic director, Kossuth Prize winner.
