The Hungarian National Dance Ensemble is Hungary’s largest professional folk dance company. Its “mother tongue” is the folk dance treasures found in the Carpathian Basin, and its repertoire features a wide variety from historical dances to authentic folk performances, as well as from rock operas to tales based on folk traditions. The productions are characterized by their unusual dynamics, the virtuosity of the dances as well as the spectacles on the stage.
The Hungarian National Dance Ensemble is existing in the framework of Honvéd Ensemble, with the leading of Zoltán Zsuráfszky coreographer, artistic director, Kossuth Prize winner.
